Graduated from the Department of Art, Faculty of Fine Arts, Tokyo University of the Arts in 1994.

He became fascinated with monochrome silver halide photography while he was a student. Although it is a time-consuming and labor-intensive method, he continues to consistently produce works in this style.

The beautiful tones of black and white, reminiscent of paintings or copperplate prints, were designed by Ueno. This is an expression that can only be achieved by creating works with a thorough focus on printing.

A work modeled after his beloved cat Pepeo We have made original printed T-shirts featuring artwork from "CAT THEATER."
