In early 2021, as the COVID-19 pandemic had a devastating impact on the world, Atelier108 was no exception and was unable to conduct business as usual.
So we had a discussion with the president and management staff and decided to open an online store.
As people began spending more time at home, they began to take a greater interest in interior design.
At the same time, driven by the current mood of people wanting to ease the stagnant atmosphere and make things more enjoyable, Polka Dot Shop opened on March 30, 2021.

The name of the shop, Mizutama Shoten, came from the idea that it is a place where you can find products that are like polka dots, that inspire your heart and sensibility with a drop of freshness and a ray of light.
Based on the concept of "Art in the margins of your life," the store offers a wide range of products that fit into your life, from works by artists with ties to the attached gallery "Kobo 33" and works by artists that you won't find in other stores, to everyday items that will help you enjoy art and feel at home.
